Update...

Where to start? The last few days have been pretty calm around here. I am trying to cherish every day that I have with Riley before I go back to work next week. She is growing so fast and seems to learn something new each day. I fear I'll be missing out on everything while I'm at work but I know it is what is needed for our family right now. Today Riley and I went out with my mom. We went to lunch and then shopping. We found the most adorable Christmas dress for Riley and I can't wait to get her all dressed up to go see Santa. I finally found a stocking I like for her at Pottery Barn Kids with a ballerina on it...it's so cute and I know it will last her forever.

Tonight Brian and I went to church with Brian and Ericka. It was definitely different from what I am used to but the pastor was very good. It was kind of emotional for me for many reasons. I haven't been to church in years and Brian and I have never been to church together. I even cried a couple times. Honestly, things have been so stressful lately and I just felt so relaxed, like I finally let go and stopped trying to control everything myself. We are going to my church on Sunday and I can't wait to share that with Ericka and both Brians.

Christmas is fast approaching and i have zero shopping done. I normally get crafty and make alot of my gifts but I have not had time for that at all. Saturday we are planning date night. Mom is watching the little one while Brian and I go Christmas shopping and out to dinner. We haven't had any time to ourselves sine she was born unless you count running to the grocery store, definitely past due and much needed.
